New Server: The Family Registry has moved its server and network infrastructure to a new provider. This change should provide enhanced site speed and reliability.

Dec 13, 2009 -- Minor Upgrade to Version 3.10

User Interface: Streamline the look and design of the registry listing pages.
Auto Suggested Items: Added additional functionality to auto-suggested items (when adding new items to ones own registry) to assist in more accurate suggestions by including category specific searches as well as returning picture and pricing information.
Find Related Gift Ideas: Added functionality to assist users in finding related gift ideas to items that are presented on other people's registries.
Inline Comments: Comments on a friend's registry item is now inline on the same page, eliminating the need to click on the item details to leave or view comments.
Bugfix: Fixed an issue that did not allow a user to add items to their own registry if they did not first have any friends or family members on their list.
Bugfix: Fixed an issue that did not allow users, under certain conditions, to view other friend registries when that registry was not their primary registry (i.e. could not view the "On Behalf Of" registry list).

Nov 28, 2009 -- Minor Upgrade to Version 3.05

Predefined Item Categories: Item categories within registries are no longer free form and users must select within a predefined list preset categories. This is the first step to assist with the future goal of creating smarter searching and indexing of friends' registries.
Auto Suggested Items: When adding new items to ones own registry the site will also make some suggestions based on the description that is being entered.
Referencial Help: More help information icons have been added around to the site to counsel users on some of the functionality and screens.

Nov 27, 2009 -- 2009 Holiday Advertising

The Family Registry launched an advertising campaign today specifically targeting Facebook users. This campaign will run from now (Black Friday) until December 26.
The Family Registry created advertising cards and has assembled a street team to hand out locally at malls throughout the South Jersey area.

User Dashlog: Added the Dashboard Log on the homepage to allow for a running list of the most recent events from friend and family members.
Facebook: Created a Fan Page on Facebook.

Nov 18, 2009 -- Major Upgrade to Version 3.00

Infrastructure: Major overhaul of back-end processes and database design, positioning future releases to easily transition into mobile applications and/or Facebook applications.
Aesthetics: Minor graphical re-design of main public site.
Suggested Items: Added ability to suggest items for other users by selecting their name in a dropdown box when a user adds a registry item.
Address Books: Added ability for a user to automatically send invitations to users in their online email service address books such as Hotmail, MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Gmail, and .Mac
User Notification: A user that has flagged an item on someone else's registry will get an email notification if that user removes the item from their registry.
User Profile: User can now add personalized social media sites to their profile.
Self Support: Added in rudimentary tool tips around the site to help users understand the features better.
Twitter: The Family Registry is now broadcasting on Twitter.

On Behalf Of: Added "On Behalf Of" functionality. Allows users to create multiple registries under one account to manage lists on behalf of another person.
Password Reset: Added in self password resets to main site.
Families: Added in the family grouping element giving users the ability to add and manage groups of registries.
Merchandise Available: A collection of The Family Registry shirts and other merchandise are now available for purchase.
